i voluteered in a spooky walk for charity last night. it was the most fun i've had in a very long time! if you are the Erin, the Britney (sp?) or the Kelly, CONTACT ME :) i'm a hella sweet cannabalistic zombie.
i haven't posted... blasted Independence Day-related festivities! maybe tonight i will be able to talk more about iPods. yes probably. i hope so. i hafta go eat pizza and watch Click soon. i'm PUMPED.
Equal Vision Records. They spawned such greatness as Chiodos, Fear Before the March of Flames, The Fall of Troy, and for all you hardcore ♥-ing peeps out there, Bane. And Armor For Sleep for those seriously in touch with their EMOtions. In addition, it's a straightedge-endorsing label, which might pander to you wacky edge kids. My apologies for the gross stereotyping in prior sentences... hehe. Anyway THEY [and Slowdance] ARE MY FAVORITE[s]. (The labels, i mean). I consider them truly droolworthy.
KISSING TIGERS. i love them very much. YES I FOUND THEM BY WATCHING FUSE. boooo. but they are attractive. in the music department, that is. the band members are kind of not very good looking. BUT THAT IS VERY OKAY. some people seem to think their (male) lead singer sounds like a chick, but then, some people are pretty damn crazy. this is their very awesome single, "So Stay In Love," from "Pleasure Of Resistance", brought to you by the awesomeness that is SLOWDANCE RECORDS, which has signed several other great bands, like The Velvet Teen and Rescue. you should really click that link.
they are so great that they can star a hamster in their music video and get away with it. anyway, they are one of my favorite bands... and i guess i haven't really given any reasons as to why i love them so much... oh well. i find their unique technoey/indie sound very appealing. and i really like synthesizers. MMMMMM also i just ate some super-tasty California Rolls. bye now! i was going to put a KT mp3 here, but my computadora is being slow and doofy and it won't let me. so go download some songs from their MySpace.
three weeks ago, i had a hard time bringing myself to listen to any band with a female lead singer. it just didn't do it for me. recently, though, during a OMGz I ♥ INDUSTRIAL!!! phase, i came across The Birthday Massacre! sure, on the title page they look like just another annoying gothy band. with a girl. but they are actually pretty sweet (unless you are in a very I LOVE LIFE sort of mood.) i followed a bunch of links from their MySpace page and found The Start (meh...), another electronica-type band with a female frontliner. i thought they were okay. also linked to TBM was Schoolyard Heroes. i liked how they utilized male and female vocals and would bounce lyrics off of each other. they reminded me a little of the B52s. and thus my quest ended. wheeee!
